The airport, the fourth largest in terms of passenger traffic in Greece, is connected to numerous Greek cities such as Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion and Mykonos, just to name a few, and several European capitals, especially during the summer period when charter flights reach Europe and the Middle East.
There are regular buses to and from Diagoras Airport to Rhodes Town, the bus stop is just outside the terminal, 300 meters away, but you can also travel by cab or with a rented car. The airport is well signposted and can be reached by taking the dual carriageway coastal road that runs around the island.
