The island of Paros has dozens and dozens of picturesque beaches washed by a clear blue sea, making it an ideal destination for those who want a sun and beach vacation. The beaches of Paros are generally sandy and invite idleness and relaxation: the sand, which is very fine, is sometimes golden and sometimes very white, while the seabed is generally shallow and therefore suitable even for inexperienced swimmers.

There is no shortage of wild, sandy beaches mixed with rocks, and beaches buffeted by strong winds that will delight surfers, windsurfers and kitesurfers. Nightlife lovers will find some beaches with bars and clubs open late.

Whether you are looking for comfort, peace or entertainment, here are the beaches not to be missed in Paros.

North Coast Beaches

Piperi

Piperi Beach is the closest beach to the center of Naoussa, from which you can walk to it. It is a mixed beach of sand and pebbles, framed by rocks and small houses, rather windy but picturesque. Recommended for those who enjoy snorkeling.

Kolimbrites

Kolimbrites (or Kolybithres) is probably the most famous beach on Paros. Its notoriety is due to peculiar granite rocks that, sculpted by wind and waves, have taken on distinctive shapes and are one of the most photographed subjects on the entire island!

The beach includes a series of small coves, some equipped and some not, and is recommended both for those who want services and amenities and for those seeking tranquility.

Monastiri

It takes its name from a monastery, but don’t be fooled: Monastiri beach is more suited to fun seekers than peace seekers.

It is an equipped beach six kilometers from Naoussa where events are often held that turn it into a kind of open-air theater. The seabed is shallow and the sea calm, so it is also perfect for those traveling with young children.

Santa Maria

Santa Maria is a long shoreline of golden sand stretching along the bay of Plastira and overlooked by numerous small beaches with views of the nearby island of Naxos. It is a very attractive area but can be very crowded in the summer months. It is easily reached by bus or boat from Naoussa.

Lageri

5Lageri Beach, Paros 844 01, Greece

Many sites and guidebooks do not list Lageri as one of the top beaches on Paros, but this is a mistake because it is a beautiful fine sandy beach connected to a small islet by an isthmus.

East Coast Beaches

Golden Beach

6Paros 844 00, Greece

Golden Beach and nearby Golden Beach New(Tserdakia) are the beaches on Paros best suited for surfing and windsurfing. International champions gather here every year to compete in the Professional Windsurfing World Cup. Non-sportsmen come here to admire the stunning views of the nearby islets of Prassonissi and Dryonissi.

Pounda

7Marpissa 844 00, Greece

For nightlife lovers, we recommend Pounda Beach, located in a tourist center with numerous stores, bars, restaurants and swimming pools. There is no shortage of beach parties and bars with music where you can have fun late into the night.

Logaras

8Logaras Beach, Paros 844 00, Greece

Among Paros’ lesser-known beaches, one of the most beautiful is certainly Logaras, which will enchant you with its fine white sand and calm crystal-clear waters.

Molos

Nestled between two hills and dominated by a quaint little church, Molos beach is another location suitable for those seeking tranquility. It is quite windy and for this reason is popular with surfers. It is reached by following a dirt road; from here you can walk to Kalogeros beach.

Tsoukalia

10Unnamed Road, Paros 844 00, Greece

Long and wild, the sandy beach of Tsoukalia is rather difficult to reach, which adds to its appeal.

South Coast Beaches

Farangas

Although very famous, the charming beach of Farangas has retained a wild appearance and is recommended for those who love nature but do not want to be too isolated. It is located about 15 km from Parikia.

Glyfa

On the other hand, the ideal beach for those who do not like the hustle and bustle and are looking for a place to sunbathe or read a book in peace is the wild Glyfa. It is not easy to reach and this discourages many tourists, making it a joy for those who want peace.

West Coast Beaches

Livadia

13Livadia Beach, Paros 844 00, Greece

Livadia is Parikia’s “town” beach, so close to the center that there is no need to take a car or bus. Separated from the road by a low stone wall, Livadia alternates between equipped and free beach areas, and in some sections a few pine trees offer shelter from the sun.

Agia Irini

14Paralia Agia Irini, Greece

Framed by a row of palm trees, Agia Irini beach will make you dream of being in the Caribbean. It is reached by a short path: if you love walking, you can continue along the coast of the bay until you reach a quaint little church.

Krios

15Paralia Krios, Krotiri 844 00, Greece

Krios Beach on one thing everyone agrees: it is one of the most spectacular beaches on Paros. Narrow and very long, it is a sandy beach framed by a row of pine trees and washed by a very clear blue sea.

It is perfect for everyone: those who like to walk, those who like to swim, those who like to do nothing, those who want to take the cooler weather in the shade of the trees, and those who want to get lost in romantic reveries.

Beaches of Antiparos

The small island of Antiparos is located just two kilometers from Paros is a popular destination for day trips. The most beautiful beach on Antiparos is definitely Faneromeni16, on the southern tip of the island: don’t miss it!
